Today’s quick tech tip….

How to make your phone’s LED flash when someone calls you

Do you have a hearing impairment that makes it difficult to hear your smartphone ring when someone calls you?

If so, it might help to make your phone’s LED flash to alert you to incoming calls.

This is very easy to set up if you have an iPhone. Just follow these steps:

1 – Open the Settings app and swipe down from the top of the screen to display the Search box.

2 – Type the word flash into the Search box, then tap LED Flash for Alerts.

3 – Toggle the “LED Flash for Alerts” setting to On.

4 – (Optional) If you want to LED to flash even when the phone is silent, make sure that option is enabled.

If you have an Android phone, things are a bit trickier…

Most Android phones have an option for enabling Flash Notifications, but not all of them.

If your phone has this option you’ll find it somewhere within the Accessibility settings.

If your phone doesn’t have an option for enabling Flash Notifications you can still enable them via a third-party app.

Simply open the Play Store app and search for flash on call and you’ll be presented with several apps to choose from.
