Q&A: How can I make Google always show search results in English?

Want to get my easy to follow Tech Tips in your email?

Question from Emily: I just accepted a new job within my company that will require me to travel to various countries in South and Central America.

A couple of years ago I had a temporary (two week) assignment in Ecuador and Google insisted on displaying the search results in Spanish even when I typed my search query in English.

I read Spanish moderately well but it would benefit me greatly if I could always have Google display the results from my searches in English.
