The scammers never seem to take a break from Facebook, and right now they’re targeting folks who enjoy eating at Buffalo Wild Wings.
This is simply a new take on the ubiquitous “free gift card” scams that are always popping up on Facebook.

Some of the malicious posts making the rounds are cleverly written and well-presented, making it difficult for the average person to recognize them as being fraudulent.

The security breaches that are in the news virtually every week are constant reminders of the dangers of opening links and attachments in emails and text messages.
Always remember that you need to be extremely careful about clicking links in emails and text messages, even if the messages appear to have been sent by someone you know and trust.
It’s so easy to spoof email addresses and phone numbers these days that it’s difficult to tell at first glance whether a message was truly sent by the person listed in the “From:” field.

It seems like you write about a new Facebook scam or hoax at least once a week or so.
I always forward your ‘scam alerts’ to my sister to make sure she sees them, but the other night she asked me to stop. She said there can’t really be that many scams on Facebook because they keep them cleaned up.
