Posted on July 15, 2022

Question from Eileen:  I took some pictures with my new phone and downloaded them to my computer (HP desktop with Windows 11).

All the photos look fine when I view them on the phone, but on the computer several of my favorites are crooked.

Question from Mariana:  I just got my first smartphone and I love how I can use it as a camera!

I love taking pictures with my phone but when I go to look at them I sometimes need to rotate it to see a particular picture right-side up.

The problem is when I rotate my phone the pictures rotate too so I’m always looking at them from the same (wrong) angle. The orientation of the picture doesn’t change and I can never look at it the right way without getting a crick in my neck.

How can I prevent a picture from rotating when I rotate my phone?

But try enlarging a photo instead and you’ll quickly realize that you have a problem. When you resize a photo to make it larger, you typically end up with an image that’s blurry and pixelated.

In short, you generally end up with a mess. [Read more…]

Q&A: Why do your old ‘Pictures of the Day’ on Facebook all show the same photo after you click on them?

Posted on February 12, 2021

Question from Nina P.:  Hi Rick. First, I want to thank you for sharing all the beautiful pictures with us every morning.

They really start my day off on a positive note!

Now, a question. When I go through your page and click on the older pictures it always shows the last one you posted.

Why is that? I love seeing the old photos too!
