Q&A: How do I switch from the desktop site to the mobile site on Twitter?

Posted on April 20, 2018

twitter-logoQuestion from Neilen G.:  I have a fairly small 11.6 inch laptop that I carry with me when I travel (and I travel frequently for work). I’ve found that it’s the perfect size to use when I’m on a plane.

Unfortunately, I also have an issue with my vision. Nothing major, but it’s bad enough to cause problems for me at times.

I usually don’t have a problem reading the screen when I’m using Twitter, but sometimes at night when my eyes are tired I find it hard to make out some of the text.

I tried typing Ctrl+ to make the text bigger but it ended up pushing some of the content off the sides of the screen.

I read somewhere that switching to the mobile Twitter site when my eyes are tired will make the text easier to read, but it didn’t give instructions for making the switch.

I guess my question is can you tell me how to switch to the Twitter mobile site on my laptop (and how to switch back when I need to)?

As explained in their blog post, Google will be executing the transition in phases depending on the whether a user is new to goo.gl or already an existing user.  [Read more…]

Posted on February 27, 2018

As you probably know by now, Microsoft has officially stopped supporting both Windows XP and Windows Vista, leaving users pretty much on their own when it comes to system security and malware protection.

As expected, many of the most popular online services quickly started ending XP and Vista support as well, and the stream of companies taking that action is expanding month by month.

Apple is the latest company to jump on the “Dump XP and Vista” bandwagon.  [Read more…]

Even worse, all that beeping can get on your own nerves as well, especially if you tend to receive lots of notifications throughout the day.

Luckily, it’s quite easy to disable beeping notifications on Facebook. Just follow the steps below:  [Read more…]
