These days, laptops are as common in our schools as backpacks, notebooks and pencils. In fact, most colleges (and many high schools) now require that every student own one.

Q&A: Why won’t my PC boot from a hard drive from another PC?

Posted on August 19, 2023

Question from Travis:  I have an HP desktop computer that got fried by lightning.

Posted on June 23, 2023

A while back I wrote a post explaining why I believe Microsoft’s Windows Update procedure needs a lot of work.

At the time I was hopeful they’d have their act together by now, but I’m afraid that simply isn’t the case.

Virtually every Windows Update they’ve released this year has been buggy and caused problems for a significant percentage of Windows users.

In short, the problem seems to be getting worse instead of better.
