It used to be that hackers targeted online retailers a lot more often than local “brick-and-mortar” establishments, but that’s no longer the case.

In fact there are actually fewer successful online breaches nowadays than “local” hacks.

The latest “brick-and-mortar” company to fall victim to a successful hack is Krystal, the ultra-popular “mini-burger” restaurant chain.

scamIf you’ve been using the Internet for a while you’re probably aware of the fantastic Amazon Associates affiliate program that allows bloggers to earn money by helping folks find great deals on items at the Amazon website.

In my opinion, there is no better affiliate program in the world because Amazon makes it easy to earn commissions on great products that most buyers end up loving in the end.

That’s why I participate in the program myself.

Scam alert: Are third-party apps using your Gmail account to send SPAM and malware to other people? Find out right now!

If you use Gmail as your email provider you probably realize how important it is to prevent hackers from accessing your Gmail account.

Once a hacker is logged into your Gmail account he/she can use it to send SPAM and/or malware to other people in your name, via your account. Not good!

What you might not realize is hackers don’t really need to log into your Gmail account directly in order to use it to send SPAM and malware to other people!
