If you happen to use a password manager, there’s a good chance that you us LastPass, the most popular password manager out there by far.

If so, I strongly recommend that you enable two-factor authentication to prevent crooks and hackers from breaking in to your account and stealing all of your important passwords.

A massive 13TB SSD is slated to hit the market next month

fixstars-ssdLast July I wrote a post about how Solid State Drives (SSDs) would soon be competing with traditional hard drives in terms of storage capacity and cost, and sure enough, they are starting to do just that.

With that in mind, it appears that SSDs are now ballooning in capacity as well.

The Japanese-based Fixstars Corporation is planning to release a massive SSD in February 2016 that contains a mind-boggling 13TB of storage space.

Q&A: Windows 10 keeps nagging me for feedback. How can I stop it?

Windows-10-logoQuestion from Tilda J.:  I finally got around to upgrading my computer to Windows 10, and at least once a day I get a message asking me how I like it.

I haven’t used Windows 10 long enough to form a firm opinion, but all these nagging feedback messages aren’t helping me form a good one.

Still using Windows 8? You need to upgrade to either Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 ASAP!

windows-8-logoMicrosoft has announced that as of today they’re no longer be supporting Windows 8 with Security patches and bug fixes.

In essence, the folks in Redmond are abandoning Windows 8 and leaving its users to fend for themselves in the wild, wild west of the Internet.

This essentially means if you’re running still running Windows 8 on your PC you’ll need to upgrade to either Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 ASAP in order to keep your PC safe from future malware attacks.  [Read more…]
