Q&A: Is the ‘setup.exe’ file in my Downloads folder a virus?

Posted on December 5, 2023

Question from Ramie:  I downloaded a photo last night from one of the free photo websites that I use.

While I was retrieving the photo from the Downloads folder I noticed there was a file named setup.exe in there.

I bought a monitor and hooked it up to the laptop with an HDMI cable, but I can’t get the monitor to show anything besides a blank screen.

How can I get the external monitor to work this laptop?  [Read more…]
