Well, there’s yet another dangerous Facebook-related scam making the rounds right now.
I know, I’m shocked too!
As usual, there are several variations of this scam.
They seem to primarily be spreading via fake SMS text messages and emails.
However, I’ve seen a few reports of it being spread via IMs on Twitter as well (which is interesting since this is a Facebook-related scam that has nothing to do with Twitter).
It’s no secret that prices on most goods and services are continuing to rise by the day, and that has lots of folks on the lookout for a great buy whenever they can find one.
If you’re looking for a new computer you need to be especially careful because the scammers are out in force, ready and waiting to take advantage of this situation.

If you’ve been using Facebook Messenger for more than 10 minutes you’ve probably received an instant message that begins with something like:
“Please send this to all your contacts…”
or
“Please tell all the contacts in your Messenger list…”

You’re probably aware of the controversy surrounding the popular Chinese TikTok video sharing app.
It’s still too early to know what TikTok’s ultimate fate will be in the U.S. and other countries, but there’s a fraudulent TikTok knockoff app that’s being touted as a replacement app should TikTok eventually be banned where you reside.
The malicious app is called “TikTok Pro” and its download link is being spread via both WhatsApp messages and regular SMS text messages.
