If you’ve been using Facebook for longer than it takes paint to dry you probably see a bunch of spams, scams and hoaxes hit your Newsfeed on a regular basis.

Some of the malicious posts making the rounds are cleverly written and well-presented, making it difficult for the average person to recognize them as being fraudulent.

The scammers of the world never seem to take a break, and unfortunately many of the scams making the rounds today are very easy to fall for.

There’s a very dangerous ‘cloud storage’ related email scam that’s making the rounds right now, and unfortunately lots of people are falling for it.

This scam plays upon your fear of losing access to your precious photos and other irreplaceable files. Back in 2023 the FBI posted a warning about scammers stealing photos from innocent victims’ social media profiles and using them to blackmail and/or otherwise extort money and other things of value from them.

Once a scammer has downloaded a victim’s photos they use artificial intelligence (AI) to create fake explicit photos and videos based upon the photos stolen from the victim’s profile.
