Picture of the Day: “Sunset over the Mississippi”

Posted on July 29, 2026

Today’s POTD features a sunset view from the Wisconsin side of Lake Pepin, a natural lake that’s really just an extra-wide section of the Mississippi River. In this photo the sun is setting over Minnesota on the distant shore. I hope you like it.

Have lots of treasured photos of your own that you’d love to display in your home but you have limited wall space? A digital picture frame (#ad) is an excellent solution. Check them out!

Question from Brittney:  A couple of my friends and I just rented a house near campus together, and so far it’s working out ok (fingers crossed on that lol).

We had Xfinity cable and Internet installed and they placed the modem/router combo box in the living room beside the TV.

Since I can’t run a cable from the living room to my bedroom, I’ll have to connect my Dell laptop to the Internet over the WiFi network. The problem is the WiFi on the laptop stopped working a while back.  [Read more…]
