My “Pick” for today is this super-handy 4-pack of Kasa HS103P4 Smart Outlet Plugs.

These little gems will let you turn your small appliances on or off from virtually anywhere using your smartphone. These things truly have a million and one uses.

For example, did you forget to turn the coffee pot off before you left for work this morning? If it’s plugged into one of these you can turn it off remotely using your phone.

Or perhaps you hate returning home to a dark house. With this you can turn on a lamp in your living room before you even get out of your car.

Question from Ellen: I hope you can help me Rick, and I thank you in advance for trying.

I travel frequently and give video presentations as part of my work, and an issue has arisen. My old laptop can’t run Windows 11 so I had to buy a new one.

The new laptop doesn’t have a VGA connector which is what my projector uses. Do you know of any way that I can use this projector with my new laptop?
