ccleaner-logoMicrosoft first introduced the Windows Store along with Windows 8, and now that Windows 10 is here the Windows Store and its many available apps are included with it as well.

The Windows Store is simply a collection of lightweight Windows apps that you can download and install on your Windows PC.

Some of those apps are actually quite useful, but many others offer little if any real value at all. Even worse, a few of them are nothing more than adware and junkware. A perfect example is the much-hated “Get Office” app that I wrote about in a previous post.

To their credit, Microsoft made it very easy to uninstall an unwanted Windows app. All you have to do is right-click on it and click Uninstall. But if you have installed a bunch of apps that you no longer want it could take several minutes to remove all of them.

Luckily, the awesome free system optimization utility CCleaner has just been updated to uninstall Windows apps as well as full-blown programs.

CCleaner will list all of the programs and Windows apps that are installed on your system in a single list. You can remove any app by simply selecting it and clicking the Uninstall button.

In a nutshell, CCleaner allows you to remove lots of apps and programs without having to scroll down the long “All apps” list on the Start Menu.

By the way, CCleaner does a LOT more than simply delete unwanted apps and programs. This post explains how CCleaner can help speed up your PC and keep it running like new.
