Q&A: Can I completely disable my laptop’s Power button?

Question from Eric:  My laptop’s Power button is located on the keyboard and it looks just like a regular key. Just about every time I start typing I accidentally hit the Power button and it shuts the machine down.

No matter how hard I try to remember not to touch the Power button, I end up doing it anyway.

I know how to shut the computer down with the mouse so I don’t really need to use the Power button at all once the laptop has booted into Windows. Is there any way to disable it?  [Read more…]

I spend several hours every day working with a variety of computers so I’m always looking for ways to work more efficiently.

Using the keyboard to accomplish common tasks saves me a ton of time because I rarely have to take my hands off the keyboard.

Q&A: Clipboard History has stopped working. How do I fix it?

Question from Kyle: I used the Clipboard History for a while with no problems whatsoever, but the last round of Windows Updates broke it.

Now when I press the Windows+V key nothing happens. The box with the stored Clipboard items doesn’t even pop up.
