Adobe Creative Cloud Express: A fantastic free online photo editor from the makers of PhotoShop

Posted on April 2, 2022

By now you probably know that Adobe Photoshop is the big dog when it comes to photo editing software. It really is the cream of the crop.

You also probably know that Photoshop Elements gives the casual user much of Photoshop’s functionality at a greatly reduced price.

But did you know that you can save even the $100 or so you’d have to cough up for Photoshop Elements and still be able to edit your images using advanced Adobe technology?  [Read more…]

If you take a look at most any photographer’s portfolio, what you’re likely to see is a collection of his/her very best shots.

After all, no one really enjoys showcasing images that aren’t so great.

That’s right, even the most talented and experienced photographers take plenty of duds which typically are left out of their galleries.

That being said, some of the awesome shots that end up being shared with the world didn’t start out all that great.

Q&A: How do I edit Image Size in pixels instead of inches with Adobe Photoshop Elements?

Posted on June 8, 2018

Question from Melinda Q.:  I recently bought a new laptop because my old one died on me.

I installed Photoshop Elements on the new laptop from the same installation disc that I used to install it on the old one.

It seems to be working fine except for one thing: It won’t let me resize images in pixels. The only thing I can change is the document size (in inches).

On my old laptop I could change the image size in pixes but on the new one I don’t have that option. What am I doing wrong?

Q&A: How can I get my picture to load in Photoshop Elements without causing an error?

Posted on February 12, 2015

photoshop-elements-10-logoQuestion from Lexie:  Rick, I have Photoshop Elements and I love it, but I have this one image file that I can’t get to load.

I’ve tried opening the file by right-clicking on it in Windows Explorer and selecting “Open with > Photoshop Elements” and by using the “File > Open” dialog from within Elements. It simply refuses to load and I get an error message every time.

I only have this problem with one photo that I desperately need to edit and print. All other photos load correctly, and even the one that won’t load into Elements opens fine in Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.

Any idea why this might be happening? This is on a Dell Dimension desktop PC with Windows 7.

Great deal: Get PhotoShop Elements 12 for a great price!

Posted on June 12, 2014

photoshop-elements-12-logoIf you take photos for a living, you’ll probably want the awesome power and flexibility that comes with Adobe PhotoShop. Simply put, PhotoShop is the professional photographer’s image editor of choice.

But if you just want your photos to look like they were taken by a pro, then PhotoShop Elements is an excellent (and much more affordable) option. PhotoShop Elements 12 is plenty powerful enough to make your photos look their best.

In fact, most of the advanced editing features of the full-blown Adobe PhotoShop application are included in Elements as well. I’ve used PhotoShop Elements for years, starting with version 4. Every new version includes handy new features, and PhotoShop Elements 12 is the most powerful version ever!

PhotoShop Elements 12 would set you back about $100  at your local retail store, but you can pick up a copy at Amazon for just a lot less – and they’ll ship it to you for free!
