Q&A: How can I get LinkedIn to show the latest version of a blog post?

Posted on March 15, 2023

Question from Kenny L.:  I read your post about using the “Facebook Debugger” to force Facebook to show the new version of an updated blog post when you re-share the URL.

Thank you so much for that. It was a big help to me!

My question is does LinkedIn have a similar tool?

Every time I update a post on my blog and then re-share the URL on LinkedIn it insists on showing the title and image I had used for the old version. That’s incredibly frustrating!

Q&A: How do I close my LinkedIn account?

Posted on January 29, 2023

Since I never use this account I’d like to delete it. Can you tell me how?

How to remove available job openings from your LinkedIn feed

Posted on July 19, 2022

If you use LinkedIn you’re probably used to seeing lots of available job notifications showing up in your feed.

Posted on February 27, 2020

linkedin-logoTwo-Factor Authentication has quickly become the preferred method of securing online accounts from hackers because it adds a second, even more secure physical requirement to logging into an account.

Of course that extra requirement is having physical access to your mobile phone, which makes it just about as secure as it can get.

Although there will likely never be an absolutely 100% effective way of protecting online accounts from hackers, two-factor authentication is probably the most secure method available today. That’s why I recommend enabling it on your LinkedIn account right now. Here’s how:  [Read more…]

How to schedule posts on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn for publication at a later time

Posted on October 12, 2019

There are times when it would be nice to have the ability to schedule a post to go live on your Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn timeline at a later date and time.

Facebook already allows users to schedule posts for future publication on “business pages”, but they don’t allow you to do it with your personal account. And neither do Twitter and LinkedIn.

However, a fantastic service called TwitTimer allows you to schedule your posts for later publication on all three of those social media platforms.  [Read more…]
