Q&A: How can I see who recently accepted my friend request on Facebook?

Posted on June 26, 2022

Question from Mira:  Hi Rick. You might think I’m not very bright after you hear my question, but I hope not lol.

Anyway, I recently sent Facebook friend requests to several people who are on our old high school reunion list.

One of the guys on that list accepted my friend request last night, but now I can’t find the notification where he accepted it and I can’t remember his name.

And before you ask, I’ve lost the list I got the names from in the first place!

Is there any way to see a list of my most recently added friends? Thanks for any help you can give me!

Rick’s answer:  Don’t be too hard on yourself, Mira. Lots of people find themselves in situations similar to this one.

Luckily, this is a problem that’s very easy to solve. Just follow the steps below for the device you use to access Facebook to display list of your most recently added friends.

If you use Facebook on a laptop or desktop computer:

1 – Log into your Facebook account and visit your Timeline page.

2 – Click the Friends link that’s located on the menu bar just below your cover photo.

3 – Click the Recently Added link.

If you use the Facebook app on a mobile device:

1 – Log into the Facebook app and visit your Timeline page.

2 – Scroll down to the “Friends” section and tap See All Friends.

3 – Tap Recent.

That’s all there is to it. You should now see a collection of your most recently added Facebook friends, with the newest friends listed first.

I hope this helps, Mira. Good luck!

Update from Mira:  Thanks Rick. Just what I needed!

Bonus tip: This post explains how to block all Game Requests and App Notifications on Facebook.
