Well, the infamous “Target 50% Off Store-Wide” coupons have started popping back up on Facebook and Instagram again.

They usually pop up right before Thanksgiving but they’ve started making the rounds quite late this year.

These coupons sound pretty good, right? After all, who wouldn’t love to get a 50% discount on anything you can buy at Target?

The problem is, these coupons aren’t real. They’re nothing more than a ploy to get you to “Like” their Facebook page and visit a very realistic looking, but fake and malicious copy of Target’s website. [Read more…]

Millions of generous individuals and companies typically donate billions of dollars in relief funds for the storm victims.

What’s more, armies of volunteers travel to the affected areas, with more waiting to go in just as soon as they receive approval from officials.

This time they’re out to take control of your Facebook account by tricking you into helping them change the password so they can log in to it.

I’ve received several requests for help from readers who had their accounts hijacked via this scam, and unfortunately there was nothing I could do to help in most of those situations.
