This simple tip could boost your blog’s page views by up to 50%

Posted on June 10, 2021

Are you a blogger who is looking for ways to boost the number of page views on your blog?

If so, I’m going to tell you about one simple change you can make right now that could potentially boost both your blog’s total number of monthly page views and the number of pages viewed per visit.

I’ve been using this strategy on my blogs for a while now, and the total number of pages viewed has risen by over 50% from what they were before I started doing it.

The best thing about this strategy is it requires hardly any extra work on my part. Yes, it does take me about five minutes longer to write each new post now, but that’s nothing really considering the benefits derived from so little extra work.

Q&A: How do I install WordPress on my local PC?

Posted on May 15, 2021

Question from Clara:  I’ve been writing a WordPress blog that discusses a variety of family issues for over two years now.

I recently installed an update to a plugin that completely broke my blog, and since I couldn’t log in to my WordPress account I couldn’t remove the bad plugin.

I searched for a solution on Google for three days and I finally found your excellent blog post explaining how to disable the bad plugin using an FTP program, and it saved me. Thank you for that!!

Now, my question: I heard that it’s possible to install WordPress on my local PC so I can test new plugins and updates without having to chance breaking my real blog again. Can you tell me how to do that?

Or maybe you used one of the machines in your school’s computer lab and forgot to log out of Facebook at the end of your session.

Scam alert: New data leak exposes financial info of 600,000 consumers

Posted on April 9, 2021

Data breaches and exploits are nothing new to the online world.

In fact, it seems like they happen every day.

As reported by our friends at BleepingComputer, this latest massive data leak has a strange twist to it.

Apparently several groups that traffic in stolen credit card and banking information on the dark web are exposing the info in each others’ databases in some sort of weird retribution spree.

These actions have resulted in the credit card and banking info of 600,000 consumers being leaked onto the open web.

There are other factors involved in this latest leak as well, but the details aren’t really as important as taking steps to mitigate the damage if it turn out you were one of the affected consumers.

This is what I recommend that you do…  [Read more…]
