Question from Brenda L.: I hate it when people share the photos I post on Facebook without asking first. Some of them are personal family pictures that I don’t want shared all over Facebook. How do I stop it?
Rick’s answer: Brenda, I wish I had better news for you, but the answer to your question is you can’t. There is no privacy setting that will prevent others from sharing your photos on Facebook. Any Facebook user who can see your photos can share them.
Facebook has been asked repeatedly over the years if they would please add such a setting, but thus far they have not. About the only thing you can do is place a limit on who can see your photos in the first place.
The steps listed in this post will let you limit access to your Facebook posts and photos to only those people who are on your Friends list.
