New to Windows 10? You need this awesome free ebook!

Posted on November 21, 2015

windows-10-beginners-guide-ebook-coverIn my opinion Windows 10 is the best version of Windows ever. That being said, Microsoft has changed the way we access and use many of the most popular features, utilities and settings in this latest Windows version.

That’s why I recommend that anyone who is still learning the ins-and-outs of Windows 10 download a great free Kindle ebook called Windows 10: Your Ultimate Beginner’s User Guide.

Don’t worry, you won’t need a Kindle device to read this ebook. You can download the free Kindle Reader app (to your computer or mobile device and read it right from there!

This free ebook provides a number of handy tips and tricks for using Windows 10. I have read it myself, and I recommend that you read it as well.  [Read more…]

winten-128gb-thumb-driveWouldn’t it be nice to have an inexpensive 256GB SSD that plugs into a USB port and fits in your shirt pocket? Well, you can now buy external SSD’s that do fit in your pocket, but they’ll set you back a pretty penny.

That means your website/blog could be at serious risk if your web hosting company isn’t very diligent about protecting their servers from the latest security threats.  [Read more…]

000webhost has been hacked. Account holders need to take action now!

Posted on October 30, 2015

000webhost-logo000webhost is one of the largest free web hosting companies on the web, because…well, they don’t charge anything for hosting their customers’ websites.

Approximately 13 million businesses and individuals have websites hosted with them, and now every one of those customers are at great risk of having their websites and other online accounts hacked.

I won’t post the link to 000webhost’s website because it is currently in maintenance mode as they try to mitigate the damage from the hack (you can Google it if you’re curious), but if you are one of their customers you need to take immediate action to protect your website’s information and sensitive customer data.  [Read more…]

Posted on October 7, 2015

edge-logoWhen Microsoft launched Windows 10 a couple of months ago, they also launched their brand new Edge web browser along with it.

I believe Microsoft’s decision to create a brand new browser from scratch instead of simply updating Internet Explorer for the 1,000th time was a good one.

Over the years I.E. had earned a reputation for sluggish performance, buggy code and dangerous insecurity, and I don’t thing the company would have ever been successful at rehabilitating that poor reputation.  [Read more…]
