Lock down your PC with these essential Windows 10 privacy settings

Posted on May 13, 2016

Windows-10-logoIf you’ve been running Windows 10 for a while you have probably already decided whether you like it or not.

I started using the “Technical Preview” version several months ago, and now that I’ve had a chance to use the final release version for a while I can tell you that I really like Windows 10.

But as much as I like it, there are some things about Windows 10 that I’m not all that crazy about. One of the things that irritates me the most is how Microsoft has configured many of Windows 10’s default Privacy Settings to gather as much info about your Windows and Internet usage as possible.

By default, your Windows installation is configured to capture and transmit back to Microsoft tons of private information and data that they really shouldn’t be collecting in my opinion.

Luckily, our friend Joe over at ThioJoeTech has put together a fantastic video that explains how to change many of Windows 10’s default Privacy Settings to minimize the amount and types of data that is captured and transmitted back to Microsoft’s servers. Check it out…

Pretty neat, huh? If you implement as many of Joe’s suggested changes as you can you’ll be able to use your Windows 10 PC with as much privacy as possible.
