Question from Debbie K.: Hello Rick. You seem to be an expert on all things Amazon so I’d like to ask you a question about it if you don’t mind.
I think I remember adding a gift card to my Amazon account a while back, but I don’t know how to check to see for sure.
Can you tell me what I need to do? I know it has to be really simple.
Rick’s answer: Debbie, I do love Amazon, and it seems like I always have a little bit of money available in my Amazon gift card account. I guess that’s why I catch myself checking my balance fairly often. Here is how to quickly check yours:
1 – Visit www.Amazon.com (#ad) and log in to your account.
2 – Click the Gift Cards link that’s located on the menu just underneath the Search box. You should now see your gift card balance listed near the middle of the page.
Note: The next time you make a purchase on Amazon, the money in your gift card account will automatically be applied towards the total amount due.
If the gift card balance isn’t enough to pay for the order in full, you’ll be prompted to pay the difference some other way (another Amazon gift card, a credit card, etc.).
