Scam alert: Emails that link to a login page are almost always fake.

If you ever get an email that appears to be from your bank or some other online service saying you need to click a link in the email to log in to your account and update your personal information, don’t do it.

These types of emails are almost always fakes. And even the rare few that are legitimate should never be trusted.

Scam alert: Why you should never ‘Unsubscribe’ from SPAM emails

Like most everyone else, you probably receive SPAM and phishing emails all the time.

And despite the existence of the Can Spam act, this scourge of the Internet seems to actually be getting worse instead of better.

If you ever happen to accidentally open one of these obnoxious messages you might be tempted to click the “Unsubscribe” link located near the bottom of the message to have your email address removed from their mailing list.

The Olympic Games are a worldwide spectacle that attract the attention of billions of people around the globe during the two week period when the games are underway.

Unfortunately, that two week period is also one of the most lucrative times for hackers and scammers to practice their dirty deeds.

It seems that every week or so another scam pops up to try to separate innocent people from whatever little money they have left after being out of work for almost a month.
