Scam alert: Don’t fall for the “I’m Mark Zuckerberg” Messenger hoax

Well, the scams and hoaxes never seem to stop making the rounds on Facebook and Messenger, and this one is a real doozy.

It comes in the form of an instant message from one of your friends that was supposedly originally sent out by Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s founder and CEO.

Well, as I write this, relief efforts are underway in Louisiana after Hurricane Ida left much of the New Orleans area under water.

Sadly, and predictably, the suffering resulting from the storm has already spawned numerous scams perpetrated by people claiming to be raising money to help the hurricane victims.
