Mastering PPC: 5 reasons why you shouldn’t overlook Bing ads

Posted on November 7, 2024

It’s undeniable that Google dominates the search engine space. This company is number one in the industry. Millions of people use it daily. However, you should not discount Bing if you’re in charge of a company that’s creating some PPC ads to attract new customers.

Wisconsin advertising agencies will likely tell you the same thing. Whether you use one or handle your own marketing campaign, though, you should take the time to consider Bing as a place for your PPC ads. Here are some of the key reasons why:

1 – They Are Not as Expensive as Google Ads

One reason why you might want to go with Bing instead of Google is that on the whole, Bing PPC ads are not as expensive to purchase as Google ones. If you don’t have an unlimited marketing budget, which is true for nearly all companies, you can stretch those dollars further if you set up a PPC ad campaign with Bing instead of Google.

2 – Business-2-Business Clients Often Use Bing More

If you operate a company that has B2B services, then it is also sensible to look into Bing as just as viable of a possibility as Google for your PPC ads. That is because Bing attracts more B2B business owners and operators.

They might very well see one of your PPC ads and click on it. Not every company uses a B2B business model, but those that do should keep Bing in mind as a possible spot to place those ads.

3 – Your Ads Will Not Be Exclusive to Bing

You should also not be under the impression that if you place some PPC ads on Bing, that this is the only place where they will appear. You can set up your ad campaign so that in addition to Bing, your ads will also appear on the other platforms with which Bing has partnered.

These include MSN, AOL, Yahoo, and more. This will give you wider exposure with your Bing ads than you might have anticipated.

4 – You Might Find It Easier to Use

While Google has tried to make setting up an ad campaign with them easier in recent years, some business owners still complain that the platform is challenging to use. Bing is relatively simple by comparison.

If you use Bing, you can probably set up your PPC ad campaign with no issues, even if you are not the most tech-savvy person. If you don’t have enough money to hire an ad agency, this ease of use will probably mean a lot to you.

5 – You Can Create Video Extensions

You might not be aware of this, but you can add a video extension to a PPC ad you feature on Bing. This makes your ad more compelling.

If you have an ad with a video extension on Bing, and it captures the attention of a possible customer, it’s far more likely that they will visit your website and convert. A video ad has a more dynamic quality that one without it can’t match.
