Q&A: How can I see who has ‘poked’ me on Facebook?

Posted on February 10, 2021

Question from Wilma A.:  Great site you have there, Rick. I visit every day!

I have a question about Facebook and I know you’ll be able to answer it for me.

I have a lot of friends and a bunch of them poke me on a regular basis. I’m talking maybe 30-40 pokes a day.

I don’t have time to respond to all the pokes as they come in so I usually wait a few days and poke everyone back at once.

Where do I look for the list of people who have poked me?

Rick’s answer:  Thanks for your kind words about my blog, Wilma. I appreciate them very much!

To answer your question, Facebook is always changing things up on us and things can get confusing at times.

A while back Facebook basically removed the “Poke” option from any of the menus we have access to on Facebook. I believe it’s just a matter of time before they put a stop to poking altogether.

That being said, if you enjoy poking people and being poked in return, you can still do so. The trick is knowing where to look in order to find that feature.

Truth be told, there’s actually a very easy way to ALWAYS go straight to your “Pokes” list. Simply visit this URL:

https://www.facebook.com/pokes

That’s the direct URL to the “Pokes” page, and it never changes (well, at least they have never changed it in the past as far as I know).

I recommend that you bookmark that link so you’ll always be able to get to it with a click of your mouse.

But it’s easy to remember the link if you ever need to type it directly into your browser’s address bar. Simply append /pokes onto the end of the basic Facebook URL!

That’s all there is to it, Wilma. Now you know how to always find your “Pokes” page in a hurry.

And by the way, if you want to poke someone who hasn’t already poked you it’s easy to do that. Simply type the person’s name into the Search box on the “Pokes” page!

Bonus tip: This post explains how to protect your Facebook account from hackers.
