Review: BELTTT 1000Watt 12V DC to 120V AC Pure Sine Wave Inverter

Posted on March 19, 2026

I’ve been using DC to AC power inverters for various purposes for a very long time, and I’ve used a bunch of them. Some were great, some were awful and plenty were somewhere in between.

I recently set out to build another DIY portable power station so I needed a good 12V DC to 120V AC inverter.

I did some checking around and decided to give this one from BELTTT a try. I figured why not since it’s a pure sine wave inverter (an absolute must), the Amazon reviews were good and the price is reasonable.

The unit they sent me was packaged well, which is always a good sign. It’s also quite light in weight which is important for something like a portable power station.

Although I’m still waiting on a few of the parts I’ll need in order to complete my project I went ahead and connected the inverter to a 12V LifePo4 battery and put it through its paces. Here’s a short video that shows how simple it was to make the connection.

As you can see in the video and the photo below, this inverter has a very nice display that shows the current DC input voltage, the AC output voltage and the current battery charge.

I tested this inverter and battery combo for several days with it running everything from the portable drill you see in the video to a 900watt portable heater and they both performed flawlessly.

Unlike many that I’ve used in the past, this BELTTT inverter didn’t get hot to the touch thanks to the intermittent fan operation. And speaking of the fan, it’s very quiet compared to some other inverters that sound almost like a running vacuum cleaner.

One thing that did surprise me was the omission of a pair of alligator-type clips for connecting the inverter to a car battery. That would really come in handy for folks who need to use low wattage appliances while camping or in other situations where there’s no access to AC power. However, the cables that do come packaged with the inverter are high quality and you can always get an inexpensive pair of third-party alligator connectors if you really need them.

Overall, I am quite impressed with this inverter and I believe it’s a great option if you’re looking for a quality pure sine wave inverter at a decent price. It’s actually one of the best 1000W inverters you’re likely to find in its price range.
